Grand Valley State University Arctic Dance

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.—Dance professionals from Grand Valley State University will share their love of the Canadian Arctic while celebrating Western Michigan’s kick-off to International Polar Year.

“Arctic Journey” relates an Inuit story about a walrus hunting tragedy and includes Inuit Drum Dancing, Inuit Throat Singing and performances by dancers from the Grand Rapids area. The program on Friday and Saturday, February 9-10, at 7:30 p.m., is at the Spectrum Theater, 160 Fountain N.E.  For more information, visit the GVSU website.
