THANKYOU to IPY friends around the world

Thank-you to everyone who was involved with launch events, who launched virtual balloons, who launched real balloons (see the Swedish launch web-cast!), those behind the scenes, and those on stage. IPY Celebrations around the world on March 1st, and throughout this week, have been a huge success. You can watch those you missed on the Arctic Portal, or still launch your virtual balloon now, and throughout IPY, to recognise the importance of the polar regions to the whole planet.

Oil & Gas Discovery Centre, Mar 5th, 2007:

The Oil & Gas Discovrey Centre in partnership with STEP centre Ministry of Education is officially a travelling exhibtion & handing over of an Infopack to schools. Infopack contains posters, activities and science demo for schools. Schools will be able to visit the IPY exhibition as well as try out the ‘Breaking ice’ activities.

Easter Seals Charter School, is pleased to announce that our physical balloon launch to commemorate IPY was completed successfully on March 5th, 2007 at 10:30AM EST.  The purpose of our involvement is to prepare and inspire our Pre-K students into the world of sciences.  Thank you, to all IPY friends around the world.
